Racial & Social Justice Are Education Justice

NEA is growing the movement to win education justice for our students, schools, and communities.

Students of every race, background, and zip code deserve the freedom to learn and pursue their dreams. NEA engages and mobilizes activists in the effort for racial, social, and economic justice in public schools and on campuses.

We are building and growing a community of activists committed to advancing social justice policies in public education.

Making Change in Schools

Ending racism, sexism, homophobia, and other systemic injustices in schools is critical to protecting the human and civil rights of all students. NEA’s toolkits are designed to be used by anyone advocating for the rights of students and educators, no matter where you are in your activism journey.

“The increase in the legal recognition of LGBTQ+ rights over the last decade—as well as the work to accept and celebrate their lives—means that educating our students about the history and realities of LGBTQ+ people is essential.”
