We hear about burnout in all professional fields, the media, and social settings, but what is it? How do we identify the signs and know when they must be addressed or when stress is healthy? There are no easy answers because life and work present ups and downs.

Although educator burnout is a serious problem, it can be prevented and treated. When you take care of yourself and seek support, you can continue to be an effective educator and make a difference in the lives of your students.

In this course, you will:

  • Improve your well-being and avoid or recover from burnout.
  • Be introduced to educator burnout prevention.
  • Identify early warning signs of burnout.
  • Identify strategies to build resilience and learn stress management techniques.
  • Learn time management strategies and reasons to build a work-to-life balance.
  • Find purpose and meaning in your work to come out of or prevent burnout.

NEA (facilitated) national online blended learning courses run six weeks with suggested deadlines to help you pace yourself and provide a certificate for 15 hours of professional development* upon completion.

  • Virtual meetings on 3/6, 3/20 and 4/10 at 7 pm Eastern
