The chorus of voices demanding a vote on immigration reform is growing. Educators continue to step up and send a clear message to Congress: It’s time to stop ignoring immigration reform.
On October 8, that message is going to get a lot louder. That’s when educators, parents and students will join people from all walks of life on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to tell lawmakers the status quo is unacceptable and that we need them to act.
October 8 is about our students, their families, our communities and our nation’s future. We won’t stop until we win a permanent solution to our immigration system that grants dignity and respect to all.
